Meghan Markle‘s dad only found out that she was pregnant with baby Archie from a radio news bulletin — and believes they are now so estranged he will never see her before he is “lowered into the ground.”
Thomas Markle, 75, opened up about his damaged relationship with his ex-royal daughter to prove he is “not all the trashy things” being said about him, he told a documentary crew for the UK’s Channel 5.
He recalled his daughter bursting into tears when he told her he would miss her May 2018 royal wedding, producing documents he says proves he had a “massive heart attack” and was warned he might die if he flew to London.
It was a blow from which their relationship has never recovered — with Meghan not even telling her dad when she was pregnant with her first child, he told the impending doc, in clips shared with The Post.
“I was sitting in my car waiting to cross the border and I heard the good news from the royals is that Meghan is pregnant,” Markle said during the six-day shoot in his home in Mexico.
“Which is almost a joke — when you tell people, well, you heard it on the radio,” he said of the grandchild he has never met.
“This is my daughter, talking about my grandchild. She’s going to have a grandchild that’s mine.
“I’m not hearing about it on the phone, I’m hearing about it on the radio.”
The dad insisted on the doc — expected to air in the coming weeks — that his daughter was “destroying” the royal family and turning it into a “Walmart with a crown on.”
He is also expected to be the key witness against the duchess in a court case against a UK newspaper she is suing for printing an angry letter she sent her dad after he was a no-show at the wedding.
Markle now believes he may never again get to see his daughter, nor ever meet his grandson, Archie, who was born last May.
“The last time they might see me is being lowered into the ground,” he told the documentary.
“I don’t think at this point they are thrilled to see me or want to talk to me.”
