Back in 2003, before Zack Snyder directed 2009's Watchmen feature film, another version of the movie almost made it to production with director David Hayter, best known as one of the screenwriters for X2 and X3: X-Men United.
Hayter and Alex Tse wrote a screenplay for the film which Watchmen writer Alan Moore said was "as close a screen version as I could imagine anyone getting to [a film version of] Watchmen," and which moved the film's story out of its original Cold War era setting to the present.
Though the film never came to fruition, some test footage of a scene between Dan Dreiberg/Nite Owl and Rorschach, starring Game of Thrones' Iain Glenn as Dreiberg and Punisher: War Zone's Ray Stevenson as Rorschach, was shot.
Now Hayter has shared that footage, which was released to YouTube by the film's composer Joe Kraemer.
